Blooper after blooper after blooper on this week's episode of Implicit Bias Radio. Man, the jokes that have come out of this that we could not tell on the radio.
SPEAKER_01Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_00And the mistakes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I think he did a lot of those mistakes on purpose. So we had to drink more whiskey. I think that's why you did it.
SPEAKER_02No, we need to upheld hold the Gen X and take a couple more of these down.
SPEAKER_00Oh look, there's plenty of whiskey in front of you on the bar. Whatever's there, have at it.
SPEAKER_02I've been on fourth, so I'm okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Renee, they're called Freudian slips. Yes.
SPEAKER_03I don't think Freud had anything to do with that. That was a pure fuck up.
SPEAKER_00So first of all, I had to restart the monologue, what, twice?
SPEAKER_03Yes. Yeah. If you round down. At least one time it was because people were texting you during recording.
SPEAKER_00And look, I've gotten a total since we started recording this episode, which was just about three hours ago. I've gotten a total of like nine texts. Eight of them. From one person. Eight of them. No. Eight of them came in in the seven minutes that I do the fucking monologue. Which, for those who don't know, my telephone serves as part of the teleprompter. So when a text comes up, it not only gets in the way of what I see, it also messes with the Bluetooth control remote that I have to operate. So the words scroll on the fucking screen.
SPEAKER_01Let me ask something. You ever thought about teaching them how to put it on do not disturb?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I thought about reminding him of that, but I have it set up. I have a do not disturb teleprompter, and I just forgot to set it tonight.
SPEAKER_03You know, either that or I was gonna ask you, do you use AI on your phone? Your AI is fucking witchy.
SPEAKER_00No, it's not my AI. No, it's Lee fucking Ritter, 90% of it, who's sending 75 texts, which I love you, Lee, but you send 75 texts at a time.
SPEAKER_01Every root thread I'm in with Lee is silenced. I'm not gonna lie to you about it. Y'all wonder why I don't reply, but like once a week, it's because I look, I'm like 172. Scroll.
SPEAKER_00So we had that. Then of course we had me with the foregate reference. Yeah. As I'm talking about the foregate whiskey special. That's the Freudian slip. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Anyway, that was something it's true.
SPEAKER_03They were having something in your head. No, he's just he's just pro-homosexual. Exactly. He's 4-gay.
SPEAKER_02Well, look, I'm not the one painting in an election year right there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'm not the one over here holding peckers. Okay. But hold on. That's Caleb. Caleb's the one holding peckers. And the worst part is it's like he fucking lives in Alabama because he's holding a family member's pecker.
SPEAKER_01Let me give you the whole story. Let me give you the whole story. So uh my grandfather's in his his mid-90s at this point in time, and he's older, and we and uh he moved into a home, and I go there to visit him, and my uh I think I was it was in between service or in between I'm overseas, I don't that matter. And uh my uncle's there, my wife and I go to see my grandfather. That's what's even better, is Jackie was there.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's funny. Your wife is there, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And uh we go to see him, and uh he's like, Caleb, I've gotta go we and first and foremost, I don't think my grandfather's ever said we. So you should have known. I should in looking back now years ago, I should have known that. Um, and I'm like, okay, go use the restroom. And he goes, Well, I can't hold myself up. And look, my grandfather was like six foot three, six foot three and a half, 260 pounds at in his mid-90s. And uh he's like, I can't hold myself up and my pecker at the same time. And I was like, Oh, okay, Papa, I can help hold you. He goes, No, it's easier for me to hold myself. And I stopped, and like I I literally had like an existential crisis, and I'm like, Look, this is my grandfather, like of all things, like the one time he needs me in his life. This is my chance to to show him that I love him and I'm the best grandchild. And I'm like, sure, I got you, Papa. And uh, we go into the bathroom, and I'm like, all right, you know, and he's well, you have to help pull it out. Okay, you know, so boom, I I do, I am doing this, and I I pull out his pecker, and uh he looks at me and he goes, Is that the biggest you've ever held? And I drop it, I'm like, what in the world? And my uncle is in the other room, and he's like, and my wife's in the other room too, and he goes, I knew he was gonna fucking get you. And I was like, Yo set me up. Everyone set me up to hold my grandfather's pecker in my hand. And he thought it was hilarious, and like, oh yeah, this has got 90 years in the making.
SPEAKER_00And and on top of that, he was right, it's the biggest one you've ever held.
SPEAKER_01It was impressive, I'm not gonna lie. I was like, skips a generation or two.
SPEAKER_00You wish. Anyway, this is the funny part about what we do. This is supposed to be bonus content, gotta subscribe for it. I'm making this shit free. I'm letting everybody have this one because that is just what actually happens.
SPEAKER_01A grandson's love.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah. It's you know, it's the in-between segments, the conversations we have, that a lot of it we can't record.
SPEAKER_00I was about to say, this is what happens, and I was waiting on Caleb. I was gonna say, this is what happens on the back end of the show, and Caleb was about to be, yes, it does.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00These are the things that you experience when you do a live radio show. And look, we're not live, we are recorded live, though. And there are times, and it doesn't happen often. Um I'm gonna look to Aaron because Aaron sat through more of these. How often do I restart the monologue?
unknownI can probably count on one hand.
SPEAKER_00He just said he can probably count on one hand, and he's been producing the show over two years now. Yeah, so when you think that's a hundred years ago.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I I maybe four or five times we've had to restart while I was on the show. Every now and then it happens. Six years.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, even when even when we first started doing this, we didn't make these kinds of mistakes.
SPEAKER_03Well, okay, and he didn't have a teleprompter. We had we had we were not as technologically advanced as we are now. Maybe that's what it is. Technology is fucking with us.
SPEAKER_00It is part of the problem because when you don't have a teleprompter, I would read from a script.
SPEAKER_03So when we first started the show, I ad libbed, I ad libbed monologues, and then you wrote them, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I wrote you writing them out, and then you would bring them printed correct. And then I would bring the laptop, and now we have a teleprompter. So as we have progressed, there are little things that get in the way.
SPEAKER_03The quality of the show has gotten worse. That's what that's what it goes down. Little things downhill.
SPEAKER_00Little things that get in the way.
SPEAKER_03He's getting older, he's getting close to my age.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's getting close to my age now. So I can tell you which one it's gonna be.
SPEAKER_00No, no, Caleb's already asked to hold my pecker once or twice.
SPEAKER_03He wants to compare it to Papa's.
SPEAKER_00Oh, probably no comparison there. Uh I'm not even going that route.
SPEAKER_01I already told you it was over six foot.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00This is the fun that we have, though, on this show. And honestly, there are entire shows that I would love to do like this. Like, I would love to do a fully unedited two hours of the show. We just can't air it on terrestrial radio. It would just the show would sound like welcome into implicit bias radio. Be two hours later. Thanks for joining us. Yeah, and we can't have that. Yeah, all you would hear is be, and then all of a sudden you'd hear a commercial for Piper's Haven. We'll hear the Snake Hall jewelry, the rustic winner game. And and look, I love that we continually bring in new sponsors on the show. We've got Fezos who just jumped on as a member of the show. They've got a great whiskey selection.
SPEAKER_01They do.
SPEAKER_00But these are the girls though. They do. And look, specifically, their big whiskey selection is the Bruce Art location. But this is the conversation that you have over whiskey with friends.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That at the end of the day, people are like, man, if if shit hit the fan, if the zombie apocalypse happened, I'm like, oh, I'm going to Caleb's, right?
SPEAKER_03Because we're all going to Caleb's. Not just at Oscar. We'll bring what we got and meet at Caleb's. Correct.
SPEAKER_00And between what we all have, we're going to be just fine. Yeah. Right? Just fine. I mean, we're talking whether it's long range, short range, hand-to-hand, everybody's good. And that's that's what this is all about. It's about forming that camaraderie and that friendship and truly a brotherhood. We literally have a fraternity here that is not going to be found pretty much anywhere else.
SPEAKER_02You're here in the old school version of the fraternity just in this bonus content.
SPEAKER_00Oh no, we are definitely going down. You know why? Because Renee, you're my boy, Blue! I'm just waiting on Renee to die during the middle of an oil wrestling match we host here in the TSPL.
SPEAKER_01Look, we had that one close call. We had that one close call.
SPEAKER_00We did try to kill Renee.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03Yes, I was at uh Lester's. A Leicester's event. Actually, it wasn't y'all. I think it was big whiskey. You gotta eat that microphone. I think it was big whiskey. He brought too much good whiskey and wine and uh overindulged a little bit, I think.
SPEAKER_00Oh, a little bit, you think? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Was that the night I went to bed early? I don't know. All I know is I know the next morning I woke up, I was an aphib, but I had to go to the hospital.
SPEAKER_00We woke up the next day and all of a sudden, like, we're texting back and forth, and Renee's like, I'm in the hospital. And we're like, wait, what?
SPEAKER_03Renee's at the hospital? Y'all thought I was kidding, but no, I was.
SPEAKER_00No, he was actually an hour away at the hospital already when we woke, wake up the next morning, and we're like, what the happened?
SPEAKER_01Uh poor Power's like, I didn't have enough strawberry daiquiries.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes.
SPEAKER_00Yep, that dice.
SPEAKER_02No, no more CY. You're just gonna be blue from now on. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know what? That because he wears the shirt. It might just be right.
SPEAKER_03It's Jude's fault.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_03All right, it's not total to buy blue shirts, but you know.
SPEAKER_00This has been bonus content for implicit bias radio. Thanks for joining us. We are gonna do one extra segment that will be paid because it'll be fun and we've got a couple of topics.
